Postgres with branches, auto-scaling to zero, and generous free tier. The CDN-close read replicas are a nice-to-have. Cold start on resume is ~500ms which is fine for most APIs but not for latency-critical reads. CLI + Terraform provider work well. The 'branch per preview deploy' pattern is a game-changer for Vercel-style deploys.
