Zero commission on JP stocks (post-2024). US stocks are 0.495%. UI is dated but functional. NISA setup is 2 weeks from signup to live. Better than Rakuten Shoken for US stock access; comparable to Monex. The weak point: customer support is email-only and 2-3 day turnaround. For a passive index investor it doesn't matter.
