pnpm

Strict by default, which exposes transitive-dep issues npm hides. The content-addressable store makes multiple installs across a laptop share one copy on disk. Workspace protocol (workspace:*) is cleaner than yarn's. Only gotcha: some ancient tools assume node_modules flat layout and misbehave with pnpm's symlink structure (.pnpm/). Fix: .npmrc with shamefully-hoist=true for those specific projects.
