Still the ecosystem default and probably the only reasonable choice for complex rule sets. But: performance is poor on large repos, flat-config migration (eslint.config.js) is still annoying, and the plugin landscape is fragmented. For greenfield, Biome is almost always faster. For established repos, migration pain usually outweighs benefits. Keep ESLint if you have 10+ custom rules.
